Points have not been assigned because the relevance of these items will differ from one website to another. In our experience, a site is either strong in most areas or weak in several.

With the intangibles we move from functional competence into issues of design integrity: how well does the method support the message?
First impressions are important; are visitors enticed to proceed?
Is your presentation elegant? eloquent? innovative? inspiring? interesting? provocative? unique? unusual?
Do the technical/ functional elements enhance the content?
Do the aesthetic elements enhance the content?
Does the website have personality? Does it elicit the intended response? Any response?
In conclusion: All of these tangible and intangible elements will be considered during an evaluation. The degree to which each is apparent or lacking will determine if an award is presented.
It is a subjective process; these elements are simply our interpretation of what constitutes "creative vision". |
